The PWSUT01 is a very high quality step up transformer intended to be used to step up the small voltages from moving coil cartridges to the input of a pre-amplifier. The transformer consists of 2 primaries and a single secondary winding. It can be configured to with ratios 10:1 with the primaried in parallel or 20:1 with the primaried in series.
The wide bandwidth extends from 5Hz to 120KHz with a 10K load and a 50 Ohm source impedance.
The large transformer core uses 80% Nickel laminations. This provides the very wide bandwidth. We use 4 solid copper screens between the primaries and the secondary, giving excellent low capacitance coupling between primaries and secondary.
