This is a small PCB assembly that allows the easy selection of the correct voltage for a European type mains transformer.
The transformer primary should have the following taps:
+10V, 0V, 220V, 240V.
These are wired into the high quality screw termination block.
Spade connections are available for a SPST mains switch. There is provision for a neutral to be taken to the switch to allow for a switched neon indicator to be used. A small capacitor is wired across the switch to suppress any interference when switching.
Spade connectors are used for the neutral and live inputs from an IEC input for example.
Selection of the required voltage is easily done by two C&K slide switches.
We have included a 10 Ohm NTC anti surge thermistor, that will help in reducing rogue fuse blowing at switch on.
